Update for Expansion Projects
Labor and Delivery Unit
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the completion of this unit was delayed. However, construction has resumed and is progressing now at a faster pace. The opening of the OB Unit is slated to occur in early summer 2021.
New Imaging Equipment
The new Phillips MRI is installed and is fully operational now. This new MRI will enable PRMC to perform procedures that were not possible in the past. Construction for the replacement of both CT scanners began in April 2020 with final completion of both anticipated within the 2021 calendar year. Both scanners will be the latest technology from Canon.
Replacement of Cardiac Cath Labs
In June 2020, we began the process of replacing our two cath labs with the latest technology from Siemens. This intricate project will take many months per cath lab to complete with both labs scheduled to be operational within the 2021 calendar year.
